Today
Today was almost unbearably pleasant.
We had to go to Mountain View to show off posters detailing what we’ve done so far, a task we’d been dreading for weeks (we, of course, being the interns). But it wasn’t too bad. When we first arrived, it was incredibly nice outside. From what I’ve seen, every day is incredibly nice in Mountain View (truly it is the Happiest Place On Earth). And today was no exception. Just beautiful.
After the presentations I had lunch. For lunch today I had a). 6 pieces of spicy salmon-avocado sushi, b). stir-fried veggies, c). grilled tilapia, d). a delicious tomato-fresh mozzarella-balsamic-vinaigrette salad, and e). a salad of fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. The highlights were c and e. I’ve never had tilapia that good before. It had a delicate taste, and no added flavors, and for some reason, I had this borderline synesthesetic experience. It was almost like I was at the ocean, like on a pier or a boat. It was strange. But quite pleasant.
And the fruit salad! I should have taken a picture. The blackberries were in a word, incredible.
Probably the best lunch I’ve ever had.
